Annandanam & Storytelling Session at “Home of Faith”

Annandanam & Storytelling Session at “Home of Faith”

This beautiful is part of our Annapurna Project. The event started with storytelling by our special guest Ms. Rohini Chidambaran, a student and member of Kathalaya. She is the school friend of one of our founder directors Bhuvana Ramalingam. She is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and Carnatic Musician. A person filled with so many talents made the storytelling so lively as she incorporated all elements of her dance and music into the storytelling session. The children were super excited and responded to her every narration with their active participation and laughter.

Then came the drums section, where every child was given a CONGO drum. She taught them,  how to play rhythm on the drum, and the children indeed learned it super fast and it was a treat to watch a symphony happening right there. The entire hall was vibrating to the sounds of the drums. The children were left wanting more, but the event had to move further. The BFL team was represented by their advisor Mr. CV Kumar and Mr. Ramalingam, the two founder directors Bhuvana Ramalingam, and Radha Kumar, Bangalore operation head and also director Mr. Muralidharan, core committee members Shobha Muralidharan and Mr. Sachitanand and our volunteers who had come to support us that day.

This was followed by a sumptuous lunch, which was a menu desired by the children of “HOME OF FAITH”. BFL team members also ate with the children.

Overall, it was a great event and we wish to share that if any of our donors are interested and willing to do annadanam, please do contact us through the website and we would organize and facilitate your wish.
