PROJECT SWASTHYA
Project “Swasthya”, our first project, is a humble effort to eliminate period shame amongst adolescent girls & women. In this endeavor, we distribute biodegradable sanitary pads to deserving adolescent girls & women, both amongst urban and rural poor. Sustainable solutions are the core of each and every activity Befriend Life Foundation will undertake and the sanitary pad as well as its packing is completely environment-friendly and biodegradable.

Menstrual Health Hygiene and Management (MHHM) Education and Awareness
As part of Project Swasthya, we recently launched an Educational Series on Menstrual Hygiene and Management to raise awareness about period poverty and how we can collectively address this critical issue. In August 2024, we successfully conducted our first series, which aimed to educate individuals on the importance of menstrual health and practical ways to address the challenges faced by many women across the world.
Building on the success of our initial series, we are now expanding our efforts by bringing global attention to period poverty. Through this next phase, we aim to explore how different countries are addressing this issue and what steps they are taking to ensure access to menstrual hygiene products for all. By sharing insights and actions taken globally, we hope to inspire further collaboration and inspire positive change in our own communities.
Currently, over 1000 girls are being supported through this project through the years from all over India.
