Everyone has a purpose in life…a unique gift or special talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our own spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.

For as long as I can remember, I have always strived to work toward inner peace and satisfying my essential being. As a child, whenever I and my mother went to the temple, feeding the less fortunate was my favorite thing to do. Helping others always gave me a lot of joy and instilled values of kindness and empathy within me. As I grew up I made sure to never forget these values, as I would make sure to stay actively involved in my support of the underprivileged through volunteer work and financial support. I was able to dedicate my time and effort to the less fortunate through a number of NGOs and charities such as SOS Children’s Villages, The Blind School Bangalore, Child Rights and You (CRY), and the working staff of the apartment complex I lived in. Even after moving to the USA, I continued my dedication to social service through volunteering work at local elementary schools, local temples, and the UNITE & INSPIRE (U&I), Houston Chapter.

Now through the Befriend Life (BFL) Foundation, I want to work towards channeling my time and contributions towards the objectives of providing underprivileged communities and individuals with quality education, affordable healthcare, cultural and socio-economic developmental activities, and providing needful and timely relief during natural disasters.

I am a postgraduate in Commerce (MCom) by education and have completed a Diploma in Fashion Designing. I have 2 Sons and am married to an IT professional. I also have a small commercial venture in which I bake cakes. During my spare time, I love cooking, gardening, practicing spirituality, and dancing.
